A Reformed Baptist Church Plant - Kokomo IN
Greetings in the Lord! We are seeking individuals and families interested in becoming part of a conservative Reformed Baptist Church plant in the Kokomo, Indiana area, reaching out to Peru, Logansport, Wabash, Marion, Tipton, and surrounding areas.
We firmly adhere to the sufficiency of Scripture, Reformed theology, biblically conservative Christian values, family-integrated church meetings, and the call to love and care for the brethren in the Lord. By affirming the full sufficiency of Scripture in every aspect of church life, we confess that God Himself defines both the nature of His Church and the manner of His worship, as prescribed in the doctrines and precepts of His Word alone. Our goal is to ensure that our worship is God-centered—that is, focused entirely upon Him, and not upon ourselves. We aim to continually reform both the Church and our lives according to the authority of the Bible, seeking what is acceptable and pleasing to God, rather than what is culturally acceptable and pleasing to men. In essence, this is the heart of being Reformed Baptist: returning to the Scriptures as our sole authority in all matters of life, faith, and practice. Our desire for this work is to embody the words of Philippians 1:27: "Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.”
We are praying that the Lord would send us like-minded believers, including men who are committed and able to teach the Word and help establish this work, as well as those who simply desire to worship and learn about the God of the Bible through the historic biblical truths of Reformed Christian theology. Our mission is...
To appoint a plurality of elders and deacons of qualified men (Titus 1:5-9; 1 Tim. 3:8-13)
To glorify Christ in His gospel of sovereign grace (1 Corinthians 1:18)
To teach the Scriptures faithfully (2 Timothy 4:1-2)
To equip the saints for the work of the ministry (Ephesians 4:12)
To earnestly contend for the historic Christian faith (Jude 3)
To worship in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)
To foster a grace-filled atmosphere (Ephesians 4:32)
To proclaim God’s perfect Law as a rule of life (Psalm 19:7-11)
To make disciples (Matthew 28:19-20)
To evangelize the lost (Mark 16:15)
To strengthen God-honoring marriages (Ephesians 5:33)
To nurture God-fearing families (Psalm 128:1-5)
To cultivate Christ-centered, biblical courtships (Genesis 2:24)
To preserve the biblically defined roles and responsibilities of men and women (Gen. 1:27)
To uphold male leadership in the church, home and civil realm (Exodus 18:21)
To prioritize raising children with a Christ-centered, Bible-based education (Deu. 6:5-9)
To edify the saints through encouragement, fellowship, and hospitality (Romans 14:19)
To promote a culture of biblical modesty (Romans 12:1-2)
